Description

Overview

The 4ST1/13 is a 4 inch stainless steel multistage submersible borehole pump from the Vega 4ST1 range, with a maximum head of 86 m and up to 1.5 m³/h (25 L/min) at lower heads. At 10 L/min it still produces 70 m of head. This 0.37kw 4 inch borehole pump runs on a 0.37 kW oil-filled motor and fits boreholes with an internal diameter of 100 mm or more.

To size it, add the depth to the water level, the height up to your tank and about 10% for pipe friction. At 10 L/min this one suits a water level of roughly 50 m with 10 m of lift above ground. Send us your borehole details if you are unsure.

Where it works

Low-yield boreholes are common in Limpopo and the Eastern Cape, and this low-flow pump is made for them. It supplies a homestead or a few troughs without pulling the borehole dry, and the 20Y option adds dry-run protection. See all borehole pumps, or compare the 4ST1/19 borehole pump and the 4ST1/26 borehole pump.

Questions about this product

Which 4ST1/13 option do I need for my power supply?

Choose the 220 V single-phase sets or the 380 V three-phase set with Y1 controller for your supply. The analogue box is the basic starter and the 20Y adds dry-run protection. Only the options listed under Options apply to this model, and the prices shown include VAT. Send us your supply details if you are unsure which set to order.

How deep can I set the 4ST1/13 in my borehole?

Add the depth to your water level, the height up to your tank and about 10% for friction. At 10 L/min this pump gives 70 m, which suits a water level of roughly 50 m with 10 m of lift above ground. Its shut-off head is 86 m. Deeper than that, you need a higher-head pump.

Do the sets come with cable and delivery pipe?

No. Submersible cable, rope, delivery pipe and the base plate are not included in any option, so add those to your order or supply them yourself. Each set includes only the pump end, motor and controller listed under its option, and the pump end option is the wet end alone.

How much is delivery of the 4ST1/13 to Mbombela?

We deliver to Mbombela with our own trucks in 1 to 3 days. Fees follow total order weight. The heaviest set ships at about 16 kg, in the R550 band. A pump end on its own is much lighter. Orders of R20,000 or more are delivered free.
