Description

Overview

The 4SD4/50 is a 4-inch stainless steel multistage submersible borehole pump with a 5.5 kW motor rating, a shut-off head of 373 m and a flow of up to 100 L/min. It comes from the Vega 4SD4 range, which has a nominal flow of around 4 m³/h, and it fits boreholes with an internal diameter of 100 mm or more.

On the performance curve it still delivers 50 L/min at 323 m, and 10 L/min at 362 m at the lighter end. It is aimed at very deep boreholes and high-lift supply to distant reservoirs, the kind of job where a light pump simply runs out of head.

Which 4SD4/50 option should I buy?

Choose the 380 V set if you have three-phase power, with the Y1 digital protection controller included. The 525 V set with VSD suits sites that want variable speed control. If you are replacing a worn pump end on an existing 5.5 kW motor, buy the pump end only.

Does the price include cable and delivery pipe?

No. The sets cover the pump end, motor and controller only. Submersible cable, rope, delivery pipe and the base plate are not included, so allow for those when you plan the installation. We can help you work out the lengths if you send us your borehole depth.

Will the 4SD4/50 fit my borehole?

Yes, if the internal diameter is 100 mm or more. It is a 4-inch pump. Check the casing size and the water level first, then add the height to your tank and about 10% for friction, and compare that total head with the curve of 373 m at shut-off.
