Overview

This is the 2500 L silo supplied with its steel stand, ready to store liquids or dry bulk goods such as animal feed above the ground. The stand lifts the silo base 575 mm off the ground, so a bucket, feeder or trough can sit under the outlet. Kamano delivers it anywhere in South Africa.

The silo is rotationally moulded from virgin LLDPE, UV resistant and BPA free, with a black inner liner that stops algae growing. It is 1300 mm across, 2800 mm high and weighs 40 kg. The stand is made from high quality steel, painted with primer against rust and delivered as a complete frame to install. Bolt the stand to the ground before filling the silo.

Where it works

Dairy and feedlot farmers in Limpopo, the North West and the Free State use a raised silo to gravity-feed bulk feed or molasses. Poultry houses and piggeries put them beside the sheds, and workshops use them for bulk liquids. Place the stand on level concrete, bolt it down, and secure the silo once full. Use it above ground and stationary only.

Delivery and warranty

Kamano delivers with its own trucks from Polokwane to all nine provinces in 1 to 3 days, including Johannesburg, Pretoria, Rustenburg, Klerksdorp, Pietermaritzburg and Cape Town. With its stand the pack weighs about 105 kg, so delivery is on quotation, and orders of R20,000 or more (VAT incl.) ship free. Tank warranty: 1 to 2 years, depending on the model.
