Description

Overview

This 1000 L vertical tank combo gives you storage and household pressure in one box: a 1000 litre tank, an RUC-750 smart variable-speed booster pump, 0.75 kW, rated for 5.5 m3/h and a 55 m head, and the fittings to connect them.

The tank is rotationally moulded food-grade LLDPE, UV resistant and BPA free, with a black inner liner against algae. A built-in pressure transducer adjusts the RUC-750 motor speed to hold constant pressure when several taps run at once. It is solar compatible, and you control it from your phone over WiFi. Protection covers dry run, over-current, overload, voltage and abnormal pressure.

Three 20-inch Big Blue filters remove sand, rust, mud and chlorine, and a 55 W UV-C light in the tank treats the stored water.

Where it works

This combo suits rainwater harvesting off a roof, a household backup supply, garden taps and small plots. Fill the tank from the municipal feed or from roof runoff, then run the taps from the pump. It needs a firm, level base.

Questions about this product

Is installation included?

No, installation is not included. The kit comes with the suction hose kit, float valve kit and pump cover, so a plumber or a handy owner can connect it. Place the tank on a firm, level base first, fit the float valve to your feed line, then connect the pump suction and your outlet pipework. Tank stands are not part of this price.

Do you deliver this combo to Cape Town?

Can I run the pump off solar?

The RUC-750 is listed as solar compatible, and it also has dry-run, over-current, overload and voltage protection. Size your inverter or solar supply for a 0.75 kW motor and its start-up load. Ask us if you want help matching an inverter to the pump before you order.

Do I need the filters for the UV light to work?

Yes, use them together. UV-C treats water best when particles are filtered out first, so the triple Big Blue filters go ahead of the taps and the 55 W light sits in the tank. Draw water slowly enough for contact time, and add tank or UV capacity if your daily use is high.
