Description

Overview

A 1400 L tank and a pump that is already matched to it: an HMS750 variable-speed booster pump, 0.75 kW, that holds constant pressure at up to 83.3 L/min and 4.7 bar.

The tank is rotationally moulded food-grade LLDPE, UV resistant and BPA free, with a black inner liner against algae. The HMS750 is a quiet, steel-bodied variable-speed booster. It starts and stops automatically, has a restart delay, is inverter friendly and solar compatible, and comes pre-wired with a three-pin plug.

Three 20-inch Big Blue filters remove sand, rust, mud and chlorine, and a 55 W UV-C light in the tank treats the stored water.

Where it works

This combo suits rainwater harvesting off a roof, a household backup supply, garden taps and small plots. Fill the tank from the municipal feed or from roof runoff, then run the taps from the pump. It needs a firm, level base.

Is installation included?

No, installation is not included. The kit comes with the suction hose kit, float valve kit and pump cover, so a plumber or a handy owner can connect it. Place the tank on a firm, level base first, fit the float valve to your feed line, then connect the pump suction and your outlet pipework. Tank stands are not part of this price.

Does the HMS750 work with an inverter or solar?

Yes, it is listed as inverter friendly and solar compatible. It is a variable-speed 0.75 kW pump, so it ramps up gently instead of slamming on at full load. Size your inverter for the motor and start-up load. It also stops automatically when flow stops and restarts after a short delay.

Do I need the filters for the UV light to work?

Yes, use them together. UV-C treats water best when particles are filtered out first, so the triple Big Blue filters go ahead of the taps and the 55 W light sits in the tank. Draw water slowly enough for contact time, and add tank or UV capacity if your daily use is high.
