0.55 kW Superflo 2 Pool Pump, 230V, Pools to 30,000 L

Description

Overview

The 0.55 kW Superflo 2 pool pump (model 500-1016, 230V) circulates water in small residential pools up to about 30,000 litres, quietly and at a low running cost. It is a pump and motor set with a UV-resistant housing, a large debris basket and a quick-closing lid clamp. Kamano delivers it nationwide from Polokwane.

Compared with the earlier design, this version has a newly shaped impeller and diffuser for quieter flow, a motor shaft optimised for durability and lower noise, and improved flow and head performance. The motor and wet end are electrically separated, and integrated thermal overload protection guards the motor if it runs hot. Built-in unions mean you can connect and disconnect pipework without cutting, which saves time at installation and when servicing. With load-shedding in mind, a smaller 0.55 kW motor keeps the electricity bill and generator load down for a modest pool.

Where it works

This pump suits family pools in Gauteng suburbs, lodge and guesthouse plunge pools in Limpopo and Mpumalanga, and small garden pools in Cape Town and Durban. It works with standard filtration systems and is a good partner for filters, chlorinators, solar heating and heat pumps. Pool builders and service teams use it as a straightforward replacement for older, noisier units. See our wider pool and pond pump range if your pool is larger than 30,000 litres or you need more flow.
