Description

Overview

The Unitwist Monogold 22mm pipe in a 50 metre roll (code 10187) is the main-line size of the Unitwist system in a pack that suits most mid-size jobs. It carries hot and cold water and connects with Unitwist push-fit and compression fittings, so installation needs no glue or special tools. Find the fittings that go with it in our pipe fittings range, delivered from Polokwane.

The Unitwist system is SABS approved, and the supplier quotes a service life of up to 50 years, with the pipe described as corrosion resistant and low maintenance. It is also lightweight, so one person can handle a full roll.

Key features

Hot and cold water applications
Works with the Unitwist fitting range
Push-fit and compression connections
Corrosion resistant, low maintenance
Suitable for household and commercial plumbing

Where it works

The 22mm size is for supply lines where flow matters: a feed from a tank or pump to a house, a ring main on a smallholding, or a commercial building riser. Contractors in Bloemfontein and Welkom use it for general water supply installations and maintenance work, and homeowners use it for renovations. You can add a 100 metre roll of 22mm pipe for bigger jobs, or finish ends with a 22mm stop end cap.

Questions about this product

Is this the same pipe as the 15mm roll?

It is the same Monogold range and the same push-fit and compression system, but a larger 22mm diameter. Use it for main supply lines and use 15mm for branches. The fittings are sized separately, so check each part's size.

Can it be used for borehole or tank feed lines?

The pipe is sold for water supply, hot and cold water reticulation and general water installations. For a pump feed, check the pump's operating pressure against the pipe system before you commit, and ask us if you are unsure.

Can you deliver to eMalahleni?

Yes, in 1 to 3 days. One roll weighs about 7 kg, so delivery for a small order falls in the up to 30 kg band at R550. Add fittings to the order to share the delivery cost.
