Description

Overview

This steel tank stand is made for 2200 L and 2500 L water tanks. It uses structural steel with a primed coating against rust, and carries a 1450 x 1450 mm deck. Pick a height from 0.5 m to 9 m to suit your site and the pressure you want from gravity.

A full 2500 L tank holds about 2.5 tonnes of water. The stand lifts it clear of the ground and gives you head for taps, a geyser feed or a trough without running a pump.

A 1.0 m height is also listed; ask us for its price. Taller stands give more gravity pressure, roughly 1 bar for every 10 m of height, so a 3 m stand gives about 0.3 bar. Every height has the same 1450 x 1450 mm deck.

Where it works

Smallholdings and homesteads in KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape raise 2500 L tanks to get pressure for the house. Farm workers housing, clinics and rural schools use them for gravity-fed taps, and contractors put them up as site water supply.

Will this stand take a 2200 L tank as well?

Yes. The 1450 x 1450 mm deck suits both 2200 L and 2500 L water tanks. Confirm your tank base size against the deck before you order, and ask us if you are unsure.

How high should I raise a 2500 L tank?

For house taps, raising the tank 3 m or more gives useful pressure, since each 10 m of height gives about 1 bar. Taller stands cost more, see the Options list. Tell us your use and we will help you choose.

Is delivery free for a tank stand?
