Overview

The OGM-40 12V preset flowmeter is a 1.5″ oval-gear meter with a batch controller: you dial in the litres you want, and the meter signals when that quantity has passed. It runs on 12V DC, so it suits fuel trailers, service bakkies and solar-fed farm tanks where there is no 220V supply.

The metering is positive displacement oval gears, accurate to ±0.5% with repeatability of 0.03% or better. The controller counts down against your preset and gives a signal at the set quantity, which you can use to stop the pump or close a valve in your own control circuit. That makes repeat deliveries of the same load quick and consistent. Calibrate on site if you need trade-grade results.

Can I run this preset flowmeter off a bakkie battery?

Yes. It is a 12V DC unit, so a vehicle battery or a solar-charged 12V battery will power it. Check that your pump and any valve you control are on the same supply or properly isolated.

Does the meter stop the pump by itself?

It signals when the preset quantity is reached. You use that signal to stop the pump or close a valve through your own control wiring. Ask us if you want help choosing the right switching gear.

Can I use it for petrol?

No. This is a standard meter for diesel, biodiesel, kerosene, paraffin and light non-corrosive oils. For petrol you need an explosion-proof unit, so contact us and we will advise.
