Overview

The FM900 is a diesel flow meter 1 inch in bore with a mechanical roller register, so it counts litres without batteries or wiring. The flowing fuel turns the element, and gears drive a resettable batch counter and a cumulative total.

Most 12V, 24V and 230V transfer pumps in South Africa have 1″ outlets, so this meter threads on directly with a nipple and goes to work. It is the same body as the 1.5″ FM900, simply with smaller ports. Mount it with the flow arrow pointing away from the pump and keep the hose full for the best reading.

Where it works

This diesel flow meter 1 inch size is what most farm tanks and bakkie transfer kits use. Fit it to the pump on a 2,500 litre farm tank near Mokopane, on a skid unit in a contractor’s bakkie, or on the standby tank at a Limpopo game lodge to track generator use through load-shedding.
