Description

Overview

The FM24 is a 1″ digital diesel flowmeter that counts how many litres pass through it and shows the figure on an LCD. A small turbine rotor spins in the fuel stream and the electronics turn those turns into litres, with a batch figure you zero for each vehicle and a cumulative total that cannot be cleared. It follows the familiar K24 layout, so it threads onto the outlet of most transfer pumps or into the delivery hose just before the nozzle.

Because the turbine offers very little resistance, a 12V or 230V pump keeps close to its rated flow with the meter fitted. At half a kilogram it adds no real load to the hose.

Questions about this product

Can I use the FM24 to measure petrol?

No. The FM24 is meant for diesel, biodiesel, paraffin and light oils. Petrol needs a meter built for flammable vapour service, with suitable seals and electronics. Tell us the fluid and the flow you need and we will point you to the right meter for a petrol tank or forecourt line.

How accurate is a turbine meter like this for checking diesel use?

Expect around ±1% in normal use, which is close enough to catch a missing 20 litres on a 2,000 litre month. Keep the hose full of fuel, avoid sucking air at the tank end and check it against a known container now and then. For trade sales or custody transfer, use a calibrated positive displacement meter instead.

Do you deliver to Tzaneen, and what does it cost?
