Overview

The FM150 is a 1″ oval gear flowmeter with a mechanical roller counter. Two meshing oval gears move a fixed volume of fluid with each turn, which gives ±0.5% accuracy across 20 to 120 L/min. It suits diesel, paraffin and lubricating oils, and the body is aluminium and plastic.

Positive-displacement measurement is the reason to pick this meter over a turbine. It reads accurately at lower flow and with thicker fluids, so one meter can serve a diesel line one week and an oil drum the next. The counter is mechanical, so nothing needs charging. Supplier pressure data is limited, so check with us if your pump runs above 3 bar. As with any meter, fit a strainer or filter ahead of it, because grit is the main enemy of the gears.
