Description

Overview

The DYB70 kit is the wear set for the DYB-70 transfer pump: new vanes plus the O-rings and seals to rebuild the pump head. If your 60 to 70 litre a minute pump has lost flow, a dyb70 vane repair kit is the cheapest way to bring it back before you consider replacing the whole unit.

Key features

Replacement vanes in wear-resistant carbon or composite material
O-rings and seals so the head is resealed properly
Supplier model code S/A-DYB70
Compact kit under 1 kg
Intended to restore original flow and pressure

Where it works

The DYB-70 pumps often live on bakkies, tractors and service trucks, and they take a beating from dirty tanks and dry running. Typical signs the vanes are done: weak delivery, a pump that cannot self-prime or a whine of air from the head. Farm workshops in the Karoo and Free State, contractors in Limpopo and plant yards in Mpumalanga keep a spare set so a dead pump does not stop a refuel.

The kit goes with the DYB-70 12V pump and the DYB-70 24V pump. If your pump is the next size up, see the DYB80 kit. The fuel transfer pumps category lists everything else.

Delivery and warranty

Kamano delivers with its own trucks from Polokwane to all nine provinces in 1 to 3 days. Orders of R20,000 or more ship free. The boxed kit weighs 1 kg, so it adds almost nothing to a larger parcel. Ask us for the warranty terms on this model.

Questions about this product

How do I tell if the vanes on my DYB-70 are worn?

Weak delivery, difficulty priming and an air whine from the pump head are the usual signs. Check the inlet strainer and suction hose first, since blockages and air leaks cause the same symptoms. If those are clear, a fresh vane set normally restores the original flow.

Is this kit for the 12V pump, the 24V pump or both?

The vane set is the DYB70 kit, so it is intended for the DYB-70 pump head, which is the same on both the 12V and 24V versions. Voltage only changes the motor. Send us your model plate details if you want us to confirm before ordering.

Can I replace the vanes myself?

Yes, with ordinary workshop tools. Mark the rotor direction, remove the end cover, replace the vanes and O-rings and refit the cover. Work on a clean bench so no grit enters the pump, and prime it with a little fuel before the first start.

How much does delivery cost?

The kit ships at 1 kg, so delivery is R550 for orders up to 30 kg. Orders of R20,000 or more (VAT incl.) ship free. We deliver from Polokwane with our own trucks to all nine provinces in 1 to 3 days.
