Description
Overview
This handheld battery siphon pump moves diesel, paraffin or water out of a jerry can or small drum at about 7 L/min, with no hand cranking and no mains. You drop the long tube into the container, press the switch and the liquid flows into your tank or bucket. Two D-cell batteries power it, and they are not included.
For bigger drums, step up to the zinc lever drum hand pump or the HP046 rotary hand pump. Browse more in fuel transfer pumps.

Where it works
Farmers in Limpopo and the Free State use a cordless siphon pump to top up generators and small engines from jerry cans. Contractors keep one in the bakkie for refilling plant on remote jobs. It also helps with moving water, and gets paraffin from drum to heater without spills. It is not for petrol.

Delivery and warranty
Kamano delivers with its own trucks from Polokwane to all nine provinces in 1 to 3 days. Delivery is free on orders of R20,000 or more (VAT incl.). This pump ships at 1 kg, which falls in the up to 30 kg band at R550. Ask us for the warranty terms on this model.
Questions about this product
Which batteries does the pump use?
It takes two 1.5V D-cell batteries, which are not included in the box. Use fresh alkaline cells for the best flow. If the flow slows down, the batteries are usually the first thing to check. Keep a spare pair in the bakkie, as they run flat quickly under load.
Can I use it for petrol?
No. It is made for diesel, paraffin and water only, so do not use it to move petrol. Petrol vapour and a battery-powered motor do not mix. If you need to move petrol, ask us for a pump with an explosion-proof motor.
How much is delivery for a small item like this?
The pump ships at 1 kg, so it falls in the up to 30 kg band and delivery is R550, the same as a full 30 kg order. It makes sense to add it to a bigger order. Orders of R20,000 or more (VAT incl.) are delivered free.
