Description

Overview

A compression male elbow connects HD polyethylene (HDPE) pipe to a female threaded fitting at a 90 degree angle. The pipe goes into the compression end and the male thread screws into the connection.

The 90 degree design lets the line change direction neatly without extra fittings, and the rubber O-ring forms the seal. It is polypropylene, rated PN16, with ISO 14236 / SANS 14236 stated by the maker. Related parts sit in our pipe fittings range.

Where it works

Reach for it where a pipe must turn and then thread into something, such as the side of a tank, a pump inlet, a filter or a valve. Water tank installations, irrigation, agricultural water lines and HDPE distribution networks use it. Eastern Cape and North West farmers fit them at tank outlets and pump bases. Use the right thread seal and do not overtighten. Pair with a compression male adaptor and a compression elbow.
