Overview

A compression male adaptor connects HD polyethylene (HDPE) pipe to a female threaded fitting. One end grips the pipe with a compression nut and rubber O-ring, and the other end is a male thread.

It screws into valves, pumps, tanks and other female threaded fittings, and it is the standard way to start or finish an HDPE run. It is polypropylene, PN16 rated, with ISO 14236 / SANS 14236 stated by the maker. More are in our pipe fittings range.

Where it works

Use it to take HDPE pipe to a tap, valve, pump inlet or tank bulkhead with a female thread. Pump and filtration installations, water tank connections and irrigation mains all use it. Limpopo borehole installers fit them on delivery pipes, and Gauteng contractors use them on commercial cold-water systems. Use the correct thread-sealing method and do not overtighten. Pair with a compression female adaptor and a compression male elbow.
