Overview

A compression female adaptor joins HD polyethylene (HDPE) pipe to a male threaded fitting. One end takes the pipe with a compression nut and rubber O-ring, and the other end is a female thread.

Use it to connect HDPE pipe to valves, pumps, tank fittings and other male threaded parts. It is polypropylene, rated PN16, and the maker states ISO 14236 / SANS 14236. Related parts are in our pipe fittings range.

Where it works

Use it wherever HDPE pipe meets a valve, pump, tank bulkhead or filter with a male thread. Borehole and irrigation installers in Limpopo and the Free State use it at pump outlets and tank inlets, and domestic and commercial cold-water systems use it too. Cut the pipe square, push it in and tighten. Pair it with a compression male adaptor and a compression coupler.
