Description

Overview

A compression female elbow turns HD polyethylene (HDPE) pipe through 90 degrees and ends in a female thread. It does the job of an elbow and an adaptor in one compact part.

One side takes the pipe with a compression nut and rubber O-ring. The other side is a female thread for valves and male threaded fittings. It is polypropylene, rated PN16, with ISO 14236 / SANS 14236 stated by the maker. See our pipe fittings range for more.

Where it works

Use it where the pipe must change direction right at a valve, pump or tank connection, such as a tank outlet in a tight stand or a pump skid. Water tank installations, irrigation, agricultural water lines, filtration and HDPE distribution networks all call for it. Western Cape and Mpumalanga growers use it at filter banks. Combine it with a compression elbow and a compression female tee.
