Overview

A compression female tee puts a threaded branch into an HD polyethylene (HDPE) line. The two compression ends connect straight to the pipe, and the centre outlet is a female thread for a valve, adaptor or accessory.

The compression design makes fitting quick, and the internal rubber O-ring forms the seal. It is polypropylene and PN16 rated, with ISO 14236 / SANS 14236 stated by the maker for the range. Related parts are in our pipe fittings range.

Where it works

A female tee lets you add a tap, valve, gauge or take-off to a running HDPE line without cutting into a separate fitting. It suits water supply systems, irrigation, agricultural installations, tank connections and pump systems. Limpopo and KZN farms use it to add stock-water take-offs. Loosen the blue compression nut, push the pipe in fully and tighten. Use a compression coupler for joins and a compression female elbow for turns.
