Overview

A compression equal tee makes a three-way connection in HD polyethylene (HDPE) pipe. All three ends are the same size, so you can branch a water line and keep the pipe diameter the same throughout.

The compression system seals with internal rubber O-rings, with no heat, soldering or specialised equipment. It is polypropylene, PN16 rated, and the maker states ISO 14236 / SANS 14236. See the whole pipe fittings range for the rest of the fittings.

Where it works

Whenever one main water line has to divide into two directions, this is the fitting. It creates branch lines in water supply systems, irrigation networks, agricultural water systems, tank installations, pump and filtration systems and garden irrigation. Farmers in the Eastern Cape and KZN use them on stock-water reticulation. Run the straight sections with the compression coupler and make corners with the compression elbow.
