Overview
This 2.2kW 4 inch borehole motor is an oil-filled submersible motor for 380 V three-phase supply, built to drive a matching Vega 4SD or 4ST pump end of the same power rating and rated for 20 bar.
A 2.2 kW motor is for deeper boreholes or higher-head duty where the smaller motors run out of push. Protect the motor with a Y1 digital protection controller from our borehole controllers range.
It comes with a 2 m lead-out cable, so measure the run from the borehole head to your isolator before you order. Does this motor need a three-phase supply?
Yes. It is wound for 380 to 415 V three phase, so it needs a three-phase supply. We recommend a Y1 digital protection controller to look after the motor. If you only have single phase on site, look at the 220 V three-phase motors that run from a VSD or solar inverter, or the single-phase motors with a control box.
Which pump end will this motor fit?
It suits 4 inch pump ends, including the Vega 4SD and 4ST ends of the same power rating. Always match the motor kW to the pump end rating, and check the borehole is 100 mm or larger. Send us your pump end details and we will confirm the fit before you order.
