This 2.2kW 4 inch borehole motor is an oil-filled submersible motor for 220 V single-phase supply, built to drive a matching Vega 4SD or 4ST pump end of the same power rating and rated for 20 bar.
A 2.2 kW motor is for deeper boreholes or higher-head duty where the smaller motors run out of push. A single-phase motor needs a control box to start and run, so add an MA analogue box or a 20Y intelligent controller from our borehole controllers range.
It comes with a 2 m lead-out cable, so measure the run from the borehole head to your isolator before you order. Can I plug this motor into a normal 220 V socket?
It runs on 220 to 240 V single phase, but not straight from the plug. A single-phase submersible motor needs a control box to start and run, so add an MA analogue box or a 20Y intelligent controller. Wire it through a proper isolator and follow the controller instructions. Ask us if you are unsure which box suits your pump.
Which pump end will this motor fit?
