Overview

This aluminium dust cap protects the vapour recovery adaptor on a tanker or tank when it is not connected. It is a 3 inch cap with cam action, so it locks on and releases with the cam arms, and it is finished in orange. It keeps dirt, water and grit out of the adaptor so the sealing faces stay clean for the next connection. A dirty adaptor can leak or fail to seal, so the cap is the cheapest insurance on the vapour line. The aluminium version is heavier and tougher than the plastic one, which is the choice for rough handling.
