Overview

The 8,000 L vertical water tank (model code V8000W) is a rotationally moulded storage tank for farms, lodges, schools and commercial yards that need a large reserve of clean water above ground. It stands 2450 mm high on a 2150 mm diameter base and is made from food-grade virgin LLDPE with a black inner liner that keeps light out of the water and algae down.

Ribbing in the wall carries the load of a full tank. It is sold as a tank only, with strong sealed connectors fitted: a 40 mm connector at the top for the inlet and a 40 mm connector at the base for the outlet. It is a stationary tank for above-ground use. How much space does an 8000 litre water tank need?

Allow a flat, level, compacted base of at least 2150 mm across, plus working room around it for the pipes. Check you also have 2450 mm of clear height. Do not squeeze it against a wall or under low eaves. Fill levels shift the load, so a solid base matters.

Can I use this tank for drinking water and for livestock?

Yes. It is moulded from food-grade LLDPE with a black inner liner, and it is suitable for domestic, commercial and livestock water. Clean the tank and the pipes before first use, and keep the lid closed so insects and light stay out.
