Overview

This 37 kW, 525 V water-filled 6-inch borehole motor is the submersible drive unit that sits below a multistage pump end and turns it. It is supplied with 8 m of motor lead and is rated to 35 bar. The borehole water itself fills the motor, so there is no oil to leak into the aquifer. Water-filled motors can usually be rewound if they burn out, which makes the unit a repairable asset rather than a throw-away part.

The 525 V rating draws less current than a 380 V motor of the same power, which eases cable and starter sizing on long drop cables and mine or large-scheme supplies. It suits these pump ends: 8VP 80-11, 8VP 98-09, SP46-24, SP60-18, SP60-20. Always match the motor power (kW) and voltage to your pump end and power supply. Not sure? Contact us with your pump model.

Where it works

A motor this size belongs on high-volume wellfields, mine dewatering and large irrigation schemes where deep pump settings and high head are normal and the supply is built to carry the load.
