Overview

The 50 mm PVC waste adaptor with female thread connects a 50 mm waste pipe to a male-threaded plumbing component, such as a trap, a basin outlet or a threaded drain fitting. One end is a socket for the pipe and the other is a female thread, size 50 mm x 1-1/2. It is white, made from PVC, and used in drainage and wastewater systems in homes, businesses and farm buildings.

Where it works

This adaptor is used in wastewater drainage, residential plumbing, commercial plumbing projects, water management systems and repair work. Typical jobs are connecting a trap or a threaded outlet to a 50 mm waste run in a bathroom, kitchen, laundry or workshop, or on a farm where a sink, trough or wash bay drains into a waste line. It is also handy for maintenance, when you need to replace one worn threaded joint without redoing the pipework. Use it with a 50 mm x 6 m waste pipe, and combine it with a 50 mm waste socket where you need to extend a run. The matching male adaptor is also available. Look through the rainwater and drainage fittings for more parts. Pipe solvent cement is needed on the socket end.

Kamano delivers with its own trucks from Polokwane to all nine provinces in 1 to 3 days, with regular runs to Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, East London, Bloemfontein and Tzaneen. Delivery is charged by total order weight: up to 30 kg R550, 30 to 60 kg R950, 60 to 100 kg R1,450, and over 100 kg on quotation. Orders of R20,000 or more (VAT incl.) ship free.
