Overview

The 500 L Livestock Water Trough is a short, wide plastic trough that lets several animals drink side by side from a 1050 mm wide body. It is moulded from food-grade virgin LLDPE that is UV resistant and BPA free, and a Stockman float valve refills it automatically. At 25 kg it is easy to place before filling.

Where it works

The wide shape suits paddocks where animals approach from the sides, such as a sheep and cattle farm in the Northern Cape, a smallholding in Gauteng or a lodge with game near Mbombela. Run it from a gravity line or a pumped borehole tank and let the valve hold the level. It is for above-ground, stationary use only, so set it on firm, level ground.
