1800 L Livestock Water Trough, 3800 mm Long, Float Valve

Description

Overview

The 1800 L Livestock Water Trough holds almost twice the volume of our 1000 L trough in the same 3.8 m length, by being wider and deeper at 760 mm by 560 mm. It gives a larger herd steady access to clean water and fills itself through a Stockman float valve. The body is food-grade virgin LLDPE, UV resistant and BPA free.

Key features

• 1800 L capacity, 3800 mm long, 760 mm wide, 560 mm high
• Food-grade virgin LLDPE, UV resistant and BPA free to discourage algae
• Double-walled body that helps keep the water cooler
• Stockman float valve, 40 mm red fitting, encased inside to stop tampering and breakage
• Suits domestic, commercial and agricultural use with all livestock
• Tan colour; actual shade may vary slightly from photos

Where it works

This is the trough for a busy camp: a dairy in the Western Cape, a feedlot in the Free State or a cattle ranch in Limpopo where many animals drink together. Feed it from a borehole tank line and let the valve hold the level through the day. It is for above-ground, stationary use only, so build a level base first and choose a size that stops smaller animals falling in. Step down to the 1000 L trough for smaller groups, or up to the 7000 L trough for a big reservoir. See all bins and troughs.
