250 mm Threaded Manhole Lid, Two-Piece Base and Lid

Description

Overview

This 250 mm manhole lid comes in two separate parts: a base plate with a thread, and a lid with a matching thread. The base fixes to the tank, and the lid screws on and off for inspection, cleaning and filling.

The plastic is moulded to stand up to South African weather, from hard frost on the Highveld to summer heat in the Lowveld. It is used on water tanks, diesel tanks and chemical tanks, with suitability depending on the SG of the product you store.

Key features

• 250 mm opening, threaded
• Two parts: base plate with thread and lid with thread
• For water, diesel and chemical tanks, depending on the SG of the contents
• Plastic built for extreme heat and cold
• Gives inspection and filling access to the tank
• Smaller option: 180 mm red breather lid. Larger: 430 mm complete lid

Where it works

Use it as a manhole on farm diesel tanks in the Free State and Limpopo, on chemical dosing tanks at mines and treatment works, and on water storage tanks that need a handy inspection port. Contractors fit them on site tanks that are filled by hand or by hose.

Always check the SG and chemical compatibility of the liquid you plan to store before choosing a lid. Ask us if you are unsure. You will also find the full range in our tank accessories.
