355 mm Clip-Lock Baffle Ball for Water and Fuel Tanks

Description

Overview

The 355 mm clip-lock baffle ball is a hollow plastic ball you drop into a cartage tank to cut liquid surge. Free-floating balls break up the wave of liquid that rolls forward when you brake and sideways when you corner, which steadies the load on a bakkie or tanker. Six independent clips lock the two halves together so they cannot spring apart in use. You buy it per ball, so order the number your tank needs. Pair it with a tank from our range.

Key features

• 355 mm ball, 380 mm across with clips
• Six independent clips lock the two halves together
• Less load movement under braking and cornering
• Takes up about 1 percent of tank volume
• Suits water and fuel cartage tanks
• Sold per ball, 0.44 kg each

Where it works

Water cartage bakkies on Limpopo farms, diesel bowsers servicing Mpumalanga coal and Northern Cape mines, and fuel tankers on the N1 all gain from a steadier load on corrugated dirt roads. As a guide, one ball takes up room for roughly 40 L of tank volume, so a 2,500 L tank needs about 63 balls. Confirm compatibility with your liquid before you buy, and see the other tank options in our general hardware range for your transport setup.
