430 mm Complete Tank Lid with Red Screw Cap and Breather

Description

Overview

This is a complete 430 mm lid for vertical water tanks, supplied in two sections. A black base section is screwed to the top of the tank to hold it in place, and a red screw cap threads into it and seals tight. The complete unit also includes a black breather cap on top.

The red cap seals tightly enough to stop outside dirt and rodents entering the tank, while the breather lets the tank vent. The plastic is moulded for South African conditions, from extreme heat to extreme cold.

Key features

• 430 mm complete lid, two sections
• Black base section secured to the tank top with screws
• Red screw cap that tightens and seals with its thread
• Black breather cap on top of the unit
• Suitable for use on water tanks
• Smaller lids: 250 mm manhole lid and 180 mm red breather lid

Where it works

Fit it as a replacement on a vertical water tank whose original lid has cracked, gone missing or lost its seal. Rainwater tanks in the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal, farm tanks in Limpopo and the Free State, and school and clinic tanks all take a beating from sun, wind and curious animals.

A good seal matters twice: it keeps rodents and dirt out of the drinking water, and the breather keeps pressure balanced. Measure your tank opening before ordering, and ask us if you are unsure. More in our tank accessories.
