Overview

This 20Y controller is sized for a 1.1 kW single-phase borehole motor running on 220 V. It protects a mid-size pump by watching voltage and current and switching the motor off before damage happens. At this size, the pump usually feeds a farm house, a small orchard or a stock-water line, and a burnt motor means a lost day and a costly pull of the pump.

The controller trips on dry-run, on over- and under-voltage and on overload, then restarts after a dry-run so water supply recovers without a site visit. The digital display shows voltage and current. If you need a smaller unit, look at the 0.75 kW 20Y controller. Pumps above 2.2 kW or on three-phase supply need a different controller.
