This 12v diesel pump kit with auto nozzle is a battery-powered dispensing station: a 70 L/min pump, flow meter, 4 m delivery hose and automatic shut-off nozzle, all housed in a wall-mount case. It gives off-grid sites the same metered, spill-free filling you would expect from a mains unit.

The bigger 550 W motor fills a tractor or truck tank noticeably quicker than a 40 L/min pump, and the auto-stop nozzle clicks off by itself when the tank is full. Can I run the 70 L/min 12V pump off a bakkie battery?

Yes, but treat it as a heavy load. A 550 W motor at 12V pulls a lot of current, so connect it straight to the battery with thick, fused cable and keep the engine running while you pump. A deep-cycle battery on a charger or solar panel works well for a fixed fuel point.

Will the auto nozzle work at low flow?

Automatic nozzles need a reasonable flow to trigger the shut-off reliably. This pump runs from 20 up to 70 L/min, which is within the normal working range. If you throttle right down to a trickle for small jerry cans, watch the fill by eye, as the nozzle may not click off.
