Overview

This retractable hose reel is a spring-driven diesel reel that pulls the hose back onto the drum on its own once you release the lock. It holds 9 m of 25 mm hose or 12 m of 20 mm hose, and comes with a mounting bracket, a hose stop, a hose guide, a winding lock and a 1″ swivel inlet.

A spring reel suits busy fuel points where the hose comes out many times a day. The operator pulls out what is needed, the lock holds it there, and a short tug lets the spring rewind it. No crank, no hose left lying across the yard. The reel is supplied without hose.

Does the reel come with a hose?

No, it is sold empty. It takes 9 m of 25 mm hose or 12 m of 20 mm hose. We stock both sizes of multi-purpose diesel hose, so you can order the reel and a hose together. Fit the hose under light spring tension so it retracts fully without the nozzle slamming into the guide.

Why choose a spring reel over a crank reel?

Speed and tidiness. A spring reel rewinds the hose by itself, so it suits fuel points used many times a day. A crank reel holds longer hoses, up to 40 m, and costs less, but someone has to wind it in. If you refuel at one fixed spot, the spring reel saves time on every fill.

Can I mount it on a service truck?

Yes. The bracket bolts to a truck body, a skid frame or a wall. Fix it to solid steel, not thin sheet metal, because the spring pulls hard when the hose is fully out. Mount the guide so the hose comes off in a straight line toward where the vehicles stand.
