Overview

This yb80 flange set is the 3″ NPT size for the YB80 vane pump. It is cast iron with four 14 mm bolt holes, and it gives the high-flow YB80 a firm bolted connection to 3″ pipework.

The YB80 moves a lot of fuel, so the joint has to stay tight under vibration. Bolted flanges do that better than a threaded union at this size. For the smaller pumps use the 2″ or 2.5″ sets in our fuel station accessories range. Measure your tanks with a 5 m dip tape or a 10 m dip tape when you are setting up the bay.

Questions about this product

Why are the YB80 bolt holes bigger than the YB50 and YB65?

The YB80 has a larger port and takes four 14 mm bolt holes, against 11 mm on the YB50 and YB65. The bigger holes carry the extra load of the higher flow, so do not mix flange sets between pump sizes.

Is 3 inch NPT the same as 80 mm?

No. The nominal size is 3" NPT, which is close to 80 mm pipe in bore but not a metric thread. Match the NPT thread on the flange to the pump port, and ask us if you need an adaptor to your own pipework.
