Description

Overview

This is a compact diesel filter for bowser and transfer pump outlets, rated up to 70 L/min with 1″ ports. It uses a water captor cartridge on an aluminium head: free water and particles down to 30 micron stay in the cartridge, and clean diesel goes out to the nozzle. When the cartridge is full the flow drops, which is your cue to swap it.

It is the standard match for 40 to 70 L/min pumps found on IBC and bakkie bowsers. If your pump runs faster, go up to the 150 L/min water captor filter. For a simple bowl-style trap, see the water trap filter with housing.

Where it works

Most bakkie sakkies and 1000 L farm bowsers we supply run a pump in this class, and a diesel filter for bowser use is the cheapest protection for an injector pump that costs thousands to rebuild. Questions about this product

Will it fit my 12V diesel pump?

If the pump has a 1" outlet and moves up to 70 L/min, yes. Most 12V and 24V transfer pumps we sell are 40 to 70 L/min, which this filter handles comfortably. Mount the head on the pump outlet or on the bowser frame with a short hose between them.

Can I buy just the cartridge?

The cartridge is also sold on its own for replacements, so you only buy the head once. Ask us for the replacement cartridge when you order, or send a photo of your existing filter and we will confirm it matches before we dispatch.

Why does my flow slow down after a few months?

That is the filter doing its job. As the cartridge collects water and dirt it restricts the flow. A sudden drop usually means it has soaked up water and must be replaced. If it clogs often, your storage tank probably needs draining or cleaning.
