Description

Overview

This 0.55 kW vortex sewage pump handles sewage and effluent with solids up to 35 mm on a standard 220 V single-phase supply, for sumps and septic transfers where a standard dewatering pump would clog.

The vortex impeller sits back from the flow, so the liquid being pumped does not come into contact with it and solids up to 35 mm pass through without clogging. At 0.55 kW it delivers 18 m3/h (300 L/min) at 3.1 m with a maximum head of 7.3 m, and the casing, impeller, cover and shaft are stainless steel (AISI304 and AISI316). A double mechanical seal with an intermediate oil chamber protects the motor, and the motor is rewindable.

What solids can the 0.55 kW vortex sewage pump pass?

It passes solids up to 35 mm without clogging, because the vortex impeller keeps the pumped liquid away from the impeller itself. It is rated for pH 4 to 10 and liquid up to 40 °C. Do not use it for rags, stones or fibrous waste in bulk, and screen the pit if you expect those.

Can the 0.55 kW vortex pump run on ordinary 220 V power?

Yes. This is the single-phase version, built for a 220 V to 240 V, 50 Hz supply, which is what most farms, plots and small plants have. Have the supply wired and protected by a qualified electrician. If your site has three-phase power, the 380 V version of the same pump is also available.
