Description

Overview

The Unitwist Monogold 15mm pipe in a 50 metre roll (code 10186) is a mid-size pack for jobs too big for a few 6 metre lengths and too small for a full 100 metre roll. It carries hot and cold water and joins with Unitwist push-fit and compression fittings, so there is no glue, flame or press tool involved. Browse the rest of the range under pipe fittings, then have it delivered from Polokwane.

The Unitwist system is SABS approved. The supplier quotes a service life of up to 50 years, and describes the pipe as corrosion resistant and low maintenance. It is also light, which makes it easy to carry and pull through ceilings, trenches and ducting.

Key features

Push-fit and compression connection system
Corrosion resistant, low maintenance
Quick installation without specialised tools

Where it works

This size covers a typical house or small commercial unit: kitchens, bathrooms, geyser feeds and outside taps, as well as renovation work and maintenance and repair jobs. On a farm it suits workshop and homestead plumbing. For a bigger project take the 100 metre roll of 15mm pipe, and for off-cuts and repairs a 6 metre length is enough. Contractors in Pretoria, Rustenburg and Polokwane order this roll regularly for new housing developments.

Questions about this product

How much 15mm pipe do I need for a house?

That depends on the layout, but a 50 metre roll covers many small houses and cottages. Measure your runs, add about 10 percent for offcuts and bends, and if you are close to the limit take the 100 metre roll instead.

Can I join it to 22mm pipe?

Yes, with a Unitwist 15mm x 22mm reducing coupler or the 22mm x 15mm reducing elbow. Both are in the same range and use the same push-fit and compression joint.

Do you deliver one roll to George?

Yes. Delivery to George takes 1 to 3 days. One roll weighs about 4 kg, so the whole order falls in the up to 30 kg band at R550. Combine it with fittings in one order to share the delivery fee.
