Overview

The TankVac 50 mm kit removes the sediment that settles on the floor of a water tank, and it does so while you use water. As water leaves the tank, a vacuum effect draws settled dirt, sand and organic matter towards the outlet. The kit is model TVSA50, made for 50 mm outlet systems on tanks up to 10 000 L, and it saves you from draining and scrubbing as often. See the full tank accessories range.

Where it works

Rainwater tanks collect roof dust, leaf matter and grit, and the sediment builds up quietly at the bottom. That is a problem on Limpopo and Free State farms where tank water feeds irrigation lines and drip filters, and on Western Cape wine farms where clean water protects fittings. It also suits backup supply tanks at homes and businesses on load-shedding schedules, where the pump pulls from the same tank daily. By keeping the floor cleaner, the kit reduces the debris that circulates through your pump, filters and irrigation equipment.

Delivery and warranty

Kamano delivers with its own trucks from Polokwane to all nine provinces in 1 to 3 days, including Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town, Gqeberha, Pietermaritzburg and Polokwane itself. The kit ships at about 2 kg and can ride along with a tank or fitting order. Orders of R20,000 or more (VAT incl.) are delivered free. Tank warranty: 1 to 2 years, depending on the model.
