Overview
The QBK65 polypropylene air-operated double diaphragm pump moves up to 280 L/min through 2.5″ ports, powered by compressed air alone. It self-primes to a 7 m suction lift, delivers up to 6.9 bar, passes solids up to 8 mm and carries PTFE (Teflon) diaphragms.
The polypropylene body resists many acids, alkalis and salt solutions that corrode aluminium, and it is lighter than stainless steel. Check the liquid against a compatibility chart, and keep it away from hot liquids and strong solvents. Because there is no electric motor, you can run it wherever you have an air line, and it keeps pumping against a closed outlet. Where it works
At 2.5″ this is the highest-flow pump in the QBK range, used for dewatering large sumps, bulk tank transfers and moving thick process liquids. Contractors, quarries and treatment works pick it when a 2″ pump is just short of the flow they need. Water works and chemical distributors in Gauteng and KZN pick the plastic body for large acid and caustic transfers.

What compressor do I need for the QBK65?
The QBK65 uses up to 900 L/min of compressed air at full flow, so size your compressor to deliver at least that at working pressure. A smaller compressor still runs the pump but limits its flow. Fit an air filter and a regulator so you can throttle flow and pressure, and keep air pressure at or below 6.9 bar.
Can the polypropylene QBK65 pump handle acids?
Polypropylene resists many acids, alkalis and salt solutions that corrode aluminium, and the PTFE diaphragms add chemical resistance. It is not ideal for hot liquids, strong solvents or heavy knocks. Send us the chemical name and concentration and we will check it against this pump before you order.
