Overview

The QBK15 polypropylene air-operated double diaphragm pump moves up to 20 L/min through 1/2″ ports, powered by compressed air alone. It self-primes to a 7 m suction lift, delivers up to 6.9 bar, passes solids up to 1 mm and carries PTFE (Teflon) diaphragms.

The polypropylene body resists many acids, alkalis and salt solutions that corrode aluminium, and it is lighter than stainless steel. Check the liquid against a compatibility chart, and keep it away from hot liquids and strong solvents. Because there is no electric motor, you can run it wherever you have an air line, and it keeps pumping against a closed outlet. What compressor do I need for the QBK15?

The QBK15 uses up to 300 L/min of compressed air at full flow, so size your compressor to deliver at least that at working pressure. A smaller compressor still runs the pump but limits its flow. Fit an air filter and a regulator so you can throttle flow and pressure, and keep air pressure at or below 6.9 bar.

Can the polypropylene QBK15 pump handle acids?

Polypropylene resists many acids, alkalis and salt solutions that corrode aluminium, and the PTFE diaphragms add chemical resistance. It is not ideal for hot liquids, strong solvents or heavy knocks. Send us the chemical name and concentration and we will check it against this pump before you order.
