Overview

The YTB-70 is a compact 220V gear pump that moves 70 L/min of diesel, lubricating oil or hydraulic oil. Its cast iron gears and built-in relief valve handle daily workshop duty, and the carry handle lets one person move it between drums and tanks. The 1.1 kW motor draws 5 A, so ordinary plugs and a modest generator cope with it.

How much current does it draw?

The 1.1 kW motor draws about 5 A on 220V, so a standard plug point or a decent generator can run it. Allow extra capacity for the start-up surge. That makes it a practical pump for load-shedding days when you still need to fill machines.

Can I use it for hydraulic oil or engine oil?

Yes. The gear pump handles lubricating and hydraulic oils up to about 80 degrees C as well as diesel, though very thick oil slows the flow. Run it in 30 minute spells and let it rest. It is not suitable for petrol.
