Layflat hose is a thin-walled delivery hose that lies flat when it is empty and rounds out when water runs through it. This blue 3 bar layflat hose is sold per metre in 50mm and 75mm bore, so you buy exactly the length you need and carry it as a flat roll. It is a special type of hose for water and air, light enough to drag across a field and quick to coil afterwards. Pair it with clamps and couplings from our pipe fittings range.

Where it works

Layflat hose is widely used as fire hose, hydrant hose, irrigation hose and watering hose on farms and building sites. In Limpopo and the Free State it carries water from a pump to centre pivot lines, dams and troughs. Contractors in Gauteng use it for dewatering and site water, and mines use it for temporary water lines. Secure the ends with a galvanised hose clamp, and see the HDPE pipe for fixed lines.

Delivery and warranty

Kamano delivers with its own trucks from Polokwane to all nine provinces in 1 to 3 days, including Johannesburg, Polokwane, Mbombela, Bloemfontein, Pietermaritzburg and Cape Town. The weight depends on the length you order: 75mm hose is about 0.4 kg a metre, so 75 m weighs about 30 kg. Delivery is charged by total order weight (up to 30 kg R550, 30 to 60 kg R950, 60 to 100 kg R1,450, over 100 kg on quotation) and is free on orders of R20,000 or more, VAT incl.
