Overview

The 50 mm PVC waste adaptor with male thread connects a 50 mm waste pipe to a female-threaded fitting, so a drain line can end in a threaded joint. One end is a socket for the pipe and the other is a male thread, size 50 mm x 1-1/2. It is white, made from PVC and lightweight, and it is a quick fix in drainage and wastewater systems.

Where it works

Use the male adaptor wherever a 50 mm waste line has to meet a female-threaded component: wastewater drainage, residential plumbing, commercial installations, water management systems, and maintenance and repair work. On farms and lodges it is used to tie a sink, wash trough or floor drain into a waste run, and in workshops it joins pipework to threaded traps and sumps. It is also a clean way to finish a pipe that must be removable, because the threaded end can be unscrewed for cleaning. Pair it with a 6 m length of 50 mm waste pipe and a 50 mm junction tee for branches.
