Overview

This combo pairs a 5000 L vertical water tank (5 325 L maximum fill) with a 0.37 kW peripheral pump and controller so you can store water and pressurise it from one order. The pump is a 0.37 kW peripheral unit with a flow-control controller and 1 inch ports. It delivers 34 L/min and 36 m of head, which is a step up from the Econo kit in both flow and lift, and the controller starts and stops it automatically. The tank is rotomoulded LLDPE and ships empty, with the pump packed separately. The pump is rated for clean water up to 40 °C.

Questions about this product

Does the pump come with the tank?

Yes, the 5000 L tank and the 0.37 kW pump are sold together as one combo. The tank is delivered empty and the pump is packed separately. You still need to plumb the pump to the tank outlet and your house or garden pipework, and have the electrical connection done by a qualified electrician.

Can I run it during load-shedding?

The tank keeps water stored, so you can refill it when power is on and still have water in the tank during an outage. Running the 0.37 kW pump off an inverter needs one sized for the motor's start-up surge, which is well above the rated figure. Tell us the pump and we will advise.

Will this pump lift water if the tank sits on the ground?

The tank sits at pump level, so water flows to the pump by gravity and the pump only has to push. With 36 m of head and 34 L/min it will push to taps at normal house height and to a garden hose. Keep the pump under cover, dry and shaded, and keep the suction line short and airtight.
