Overview

This 230V AdBlue transfer pump delivers about 30 L/min on South African 50 Hz mains and moves AdBlue from drums and IBCs into truck, tractor and generator tanks. The 370 W motor draws only 1.3 A, so it runs happily on a normal plug, a generator or an inverter.

It is the mains version of our 12V unit, and it suits any site where power is available at the dispensing point. Fit a hose and nozzle and it becomes a permanent filling station. Pair it with the 12V AdBlue transfer pump in the vehicle for roadside top-ups, and see the full range of chemical handling equipment for hose and fittings. The AdBlue hand pump makes a good manual backup.

Where it works

Fleet depots in Gauteng and Durban use mains AdBlue pumps beside the diesel island so that trucks leave full. Mines in Mpumalanga and Limpopo fit them in workshop bays for service vehicles, and large farms in the Free State put one in the machinery shed for tractors and combine harvesters. With load-shedding in mind, the low 1.3 A draw means a small inverter can run it during an outage.

Always use clean hose and fittings reserved for AdBlue, because contamination is the main cause of SCR system trouble.

Most likely yes. The motor is 370 W and draws about 1.3 A on 230V, so a 1 kVA inverter or a small generator should cope. Size the inverter for the start-up surge, and use a pure sine wave unit if you can. Ask us if you want help matching one.
