It has a T-handle for smooth opening and closing and compression-type (CXC) ends that connect to Unitwist pipe without special tools. The supplier describes it as built for long service life, with corrosion-resistant materials and a compact design that suits confined spaces. It can be used indoors and outdoors in residential, agricultural and commercial plumbing.

Reliable shut-off and flow control
Corrosion-resistant materials
Compact body for tight spaces
Quick installation and maintenance

Where it works

Fit one at the point where the supply enters a house, ahead of a geyser, or on any branch you may want to isolate. On farms it controls water storage connections, irrigation feeders and agricultural water distribution, and tank connections on stands in Limpopo, Mpumalanga and the Free State. Combine it with 6 metre lengths of 15mm pipe and a 15mm straight coupler, or choose the 22mm stop tap for 22mm lines.

Questions about this product

Where should I fit a stop tap?

Fit it where you want to isolate water: at the point of entry, before a geyser or tank, or at the start of a branch. That way you can work on one section without shutting down the whole system.

Does it work on 22mm pipe?

No, this stop tap is for 15mm pipe. A separate 22mm Unitwist stop tap is in our range for 22mm lines. Use a reducing coupler if you need to step from one pipe size to the other.

How much is delivery to Rustenburg?

Rustenburg is in our 1 to 3 day area. A stop tap weighs about 0.15 kg, so a small order falls in the up to 30 kg band at R550. Add pipe and fittings to the same order to share the delivery fee.
