The SUB40 is a pto vane pump 40mm that delivers 180 L/min through 1-1/2 inch (40 mm) ports. It is a cast iron, self-priming, single-shaft vane pump rated at 1050 rpm, needing about 1.5 kW input. It is the smallest of our SUB and YB PTO vane pumps and a good fit for light farm and contractor duty.

No. This is a PTO-driven pump, so it runs from a tractor's power take-off and needs no mains power. That is a real advantage during load-shedding or on remote lands. Check your tractor's PTO speed against the pump's 1050 rpm rating, and use the right drive shaft.

What hose should I use with it?

The pump has 1-1/2 inch (40 mm) ports, so a 38 mm hose is the natural match. We stock a double-braided 38 mm hose with a steel helix, sold per metre, which will not collapse on the suction side. Add couplings to suit your tank connections.

Do you deliver to Vryburg and what does it cost?
