Where it works

In a mine service bay in Mpumalanga or a transport depot in Gauteng, a 3:1 pump keeps oil flowing steadily to gearboxes and reservoirs. It also suits farm workshops in the Free State topping up tractors. It needs a compressor that supplies 240 L/min, so check your air before ordering. Questions about this product

What is the difference between the 3:1 and 5:1 pumps?

The 3:1 gives 12 L/min at up to 24 bar and handles oil up to SAE 130. The 5:1 gives 8 L/min at up to 40 bar and handles oil up to SAE 240. Choose the 3:1 for speed on thinner oil and the 5:1 for thick gear oil or long hose runs.

What size compressor does it need?

It consumes about 240 L/min of air at 5 to 8 bar. A workshop compressor delivering that volume will run it, but a small hobby unit may struggle to keep up. Check your compressor's free air delivery rating, which is more useful than the tank size.

Do you deliver to George and what does it cost?

Yes, we deliver to all nine provinces on our own trucks, normally in 1 to 3 days from Polokwane. This item ships at 20 kg, which is the up to 30 kg band: R550 if it is the only item in the order. Orders of R20,000 or more VAT incl. ship free, so adding a drum trolley can make freight free.
