Overview

This Piusi automatic nozzle is an aluminium-bodied shut-off nozzle with a 24 mm spout and a 1 inch BSP female swivel inlet. It handles up to 70 L/min and closes by itself when fuel reaches the spout tip, so tanks do not overflow.

Upgrading from a manual nozzle is one of the cheapest ways to cut fuel loss at a busy fuel point. Operators can fill without holding the trigger the whole time, and the swivel inlet lets the hose turn freely instead of twisting. Seals in Viton resist diesel and petrol, and the aluminium body is light enough that operators do not tire on long fills at the start of a shift.

Where it works

Questions about this product

Will it fit my 1 inch diesel hose?

Yes, if your hose ends in a 1 inch BSP male fitting. The nozzle has a 1 inch BSP female swivel inlet that screws straight on. For 20 mm or 25 mm hose without a threaded end, you will need a hose tail and clamp. Ask us and we will send the right fitting.

Will the nozzle shut off on a slow 12V pump?

Automatic nozzles need enough flow to work the shut-off mechanism. Most 12V pumps of 40 L/min or more are fine. On very slow flows, or with a long, narrow hose that chokes delivery, the nozzle may not trip reliably, so keep an eye on the fill.
